Modulo Pi unveils its 3D auto-calibration solution for pixel-perfect projection mapping

Building on the success of its 2D auto-calibration module for planar, curved, and dome surfaces, Modulo Pi is proud to unveil its innovative 3D auto-calibration solution.

Fully developped in-house and revealed for the first time, the 3D auto-calibration technology automatically manages soft edge blending and warping for ANY surface.
Available as an option for the Modulo Kinetic media server, the dongle-based module can be embedded directly in the media server, or used as a floating dongle for live events.
Paired with a 3D model of the projection surface and PoE cameras, the system accurately detects the position and orientation of projectors. It then calculates all necessary adjustements, delivering a pixel-perfect projection in record time.

At ISE 2025, Modulo Pi showcased the capabilities of its 3D auto-calibration module with a model of the Arc de Triomphe.

1 x Modulo Kinetic Designer
1 x Modulo Kinetic V-Node server equipped with the 3D auto-calibration option
3 x PoE cameras
2 x Optoma projectors

A preview version of Modulo Pi’s 3D auto-calibration was successfully installed at Aquascope, the multi-award-winning water park at Futuroscope.

The module is scheduled for release in the first half of 2025.
